   Who We Are

American Institute of Management, Inc. is a family owned and operated firm established in 1989.  AIM serves businesses and individuals by providing direction for planning strategically.  As a national corporation based in Iowa, it serves a broad spectrum of diverse organizations.

Many people approach the team at American Institute of Management, Inc. and ask, "What is it that you do?" Our response is, "Provide the building blocks of personal and corporate success." That is a pretty vague statement, so let us elaborate.

It is the belief of every team member at American Institute of Management, Inc. that all people have talent. In order for a person to be successful, each must decide their personal definition of success. That definition of success becomes a personal goal. We, at American Institute of Management, Inc., assist people in the development of personal success plans.

Businesses are not made of bricks, mortar and walls. They are created from the sum intellectual capital of the people they employ. AIM assists in developing corporate success from the success plans of each person.

We're different because we help change behavior.

  1. You’re looking for behavior change.  When utilizing a workshop approach people may get excited and a little information, but it rarely allows people to retain information that will create new habits. When you are looking for business coaches, there are many to choose from. What makes us different is that we help each person achieve his or her goals through behavior change.

  2. American Institute of Management has a different approach. The associates at AIM have a variety of talents and extensive experience. We use approaches that are based upon applied behavior analysis – getting to the root cause of the problem and customizing an approach based upon the people and the company to create the desired outcome.

  3. We are Coaches.  Coaches help you discover where you want or need to be then use your experiences to help you get there.  We have many coaches to choose from.

People should be treated respectfully – When working with many different people we may run across differences of opinion. People are not wrong, but simply out of information. People would rather discover the right answer than be told that they are wrong.

Work should be fun and challenging – Sure, you’re in business to make a profit, however if your employees dread coming to work everyday because the way the business is managed there will be serious productivity problems.

Profit is a result of the Paradigm of Rights © – The result of the right people, doing the right things, in the right way, for the right reasons, at the right time is PROFIT. When any of the 5 Rights are not correctly executed it changes our desired outcome.
